Emily Pallett is a contemporary artist predominantly working with printmaking focusing on language, communication, the technological, identity, and social and cultural issues. Print is important within her practice because of the tactile and analogue qualities of the process in relation to her interest in humankinds’ relationship with the digital. She often features text of a monochrome nature in her work because she feels that the work doesn't need to be aesthetically complicated by colour. She also largely experiments with book forms and artist books because she likes to explore how an audience can interact with artwork on a more human level as a sensory experience.
Emily Pallett studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at the University of Derby and is a People of Print member. She is also an Art Technician at Derby College and a theatrical scenic artist and prop painter with the Burton Musical Theatre Company.
